‘The officers decided it was nothing and went on their way.’: Pawrent’s training brings home two lost dogs who escaped after a failed home invasion, resulting in a police investigation and a lot of praise and treats for the brave puppers

This story is a combination of equal parts lost dog story and thriller. It is not clear how the dogs got out, it is not clear why they got out. The only thing that is clear is that they left the apartment and somehow came back while their pawrent was away…

Lost dog stories do not often have so much mystery to them but this one is full of it. Not that we would like to find ourselves in any sort of similar situation considering just how creepy and scary such an event is, especially when you have been out of the house. But we cannot help but be intrigued by the goings on of this story.

You have a homeowner and dog pawrent who was out of the house for a few hours. Two dogs who magically escaped their home with no signs of forced entry. Police officers who are certain there are no signs of foul play. And an elderly woman who claims to be the reason that the dogs made it home. Add to that the fact that the lady claims to live in the same complex as the home owner yet is unfamiliar to her. And you have quite the makings for a tale of mystery.

Wow, wow, wow, hold up there a minute. What kind of fresh madness is this? To get such a strangely nonchalant call about your dogs running free causing a ruckus and that they are now home while you have been out of the house for hours is simply insanity. What kind of world do we live in where that kind of message is conveyed with such calm and indifference. Not to mention that the caller forgot to mention the police men posted up outside the door. Jheez, someone needs to drink a little more coffee on their evening shift it sounds.

You thinking what we are thinking? This sweet old lady did it! She was the one who was breaking into the apartment and she got spooked by the dogs who were happy to see her. In her alarm she ran off and left the door open. But being the kind fellas these dogs are they followed the hooman who seemed to be in some sort of distress to see if they were ok. This of course only caused more panic on the old lady’s side, leaving her to shout at them to go home. And now she innocently tells her tale of fibs…
